But, every bit things gradually come together for them, the going gets tougher—which is what they are expecting. And so, with their respective powers, the iii endeavour to battle it out alongside their customs, to aspire to new heights and discover what the earth has to offer.

The Similarity: Picket out everyone, there's a badass over hither; just similar in No Game No Life. That's right, in terms of premise and general theme, Mondaji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? virtually looks like a twin, with some slight variation. Information technology's the same concept for the most part, although this latter anime focuses more than on superpowers or special abilities than on intelligence and cleverness. But even and then, all these elements intertwine in both at some parts. And that'south what makes the two anime closer than ever.

Log Horizon

Log Horizon

ii. Log Horizon

The Story: When thirty thousand people become transported into a game and are forced to alive it as their reality, they are left with no choice but to abide past what's happening and hope that they'll exist able to leave presently. On one side of the gaming world, at that place is Shiroe—a kinda-aristocratic simply brilliant gamer. Along with his friends and political party-mates, Akatsuki and Naotsugu, they endeavor to notice what really is happening effectually them and their realities—all the while playing past the rules of the game.

The Similarity: If you loved the gaming component of No Game No Life but would adopt something that'due south more game-specific and more in-depth on the technicalities, then Log Horizon is your bet! This time, the story takes a more realistic course inside a virtual online game with the goal of making the most out of the game's environment and its rules. That would involve nifty wisdom and foresight, which in plough, adds more than to the similarity with the anime in question.

The Law of Ueki

The Law of Ueki

3. The Law of Ueki

The Story: In a seemingly innocent competition, where the reward is vast and the victor's god-candidate has the gamble to merits the position of god, there is bound to be problem brewing. As the fighters are kids, given unusual yet unique powers of their own, it'south up to them to practise whatever it takes to follow the rules and knock every competitor. 1 of the participants is Ueki Kousuke, a center school student at Hinokuni Center School, and a seemingly uninterested child who actually has a very righteous sense of justice.

With the uncanny ability to turn garbage to copse, Ueki Kousuke must laissez passer through every predicament that comes his way. Every bit the reward for the victor is the overwhelming power to change the world, depending on the heart and nature of the i who possesses that power, clearly the power mustn't fall into the wrong hands. And given the way the participants battle each other, information technology seems that the merely person the reward would exist prophylactic with is Ueki Kousuke himself.

The Similarity: While the competition in Law of Ueki escalates to something that involves life and death, in the end, information technology's still just a game that focuses on how the players use their talents and sharpness of mind to make the most out of their powers and win against their foes. What'south neat in this anime is the fashion the characters fight every bit if it were educational and at the aforementioned time heed-teasing. The strategies and unexpected turns in the battles shouldn't be underestimated. And so I'm sure you realize now how similar Law of Ueki is to No Game No Life.

Btooom!

Btooom!

4. Btooom!

The Story: Beingness a hikikomori and N.E.Due east.T. (Not in Didactics, Employment, or Grooming), 22-twelvemonth-sometime Ryouta Sakamoto spends all his time playing his favorite game - Btooom! With his dedication and habit to the game, he becomes i of the best players in the game. But, little does he know that the game he loves the about volition soon turn into his vicious reality.

When Ryouta wakes up one twenty-four hours, he finds himself on an island with zero just a few objects which resembles the weapons he uses in his favorite game. These weapons are piffling but powerful bombs called BIM. And with them in his hand, he realizes that he is now playing the game of "Btooom!" in real life.

The Similarity: While Btooom! takes a more than serious and realistic approach, the brilliance of the story every bit well as the concept should not be missed. It's a game—a survival game, at that—applied to the real globe. And the players have to outwit each other to survive. That's what makes this anime highly immersing too as exciting, which is on a par with what NGNL has to offering.

The World God Only Knows

The World God Only Knows

5. The World God Only Knows

The Story: Keima Katsuragi is the god of dating-sims games, and nigh all games for that matter. As such, he's very focused on playing his games every day, wherever he is—at home, at school, or outdoors. Then i day, he is scouted by a Shinigami named Elsie who'south out to capture lost souls.

Much to Keima'southward reluctance, he gets enlisted past Elsie to take hold of lost souls by having a death collar fastened to his neck. If he shrugs off the asking, then off with his caput! But since he accepted, he now has to date real girls and make them fall for him, then that the lost souls residing within the depths of their hearts will be released and captured.

The Similarity: If in NGNL Sora and Shiro were the best in the globe when it comes to gaming, Keima Katsuragi is the best in this ane. While he plays dating sims games the most, all other games are likewise his territory; he has really already conquered the world of gaming. The similar characters, and the mode they're particularly the best in gaming, connects the two anime together.

Code Geass

Lawmaking Geass

6. Code Geass

The Story: Lelouch vi Brittania is an exiled prince from the Holy Empire of Brittania. Together with his love sister, they were bandage out and made to live every bit commoners.

Equally Lelouch 6 Brittania and his sister, Nunnaly vi Brittania, now attend Ashford University near the center of conflict at Area 11 (previously Japan), they cannot escape the mess caused by their own kin.

As fate would have it, Lelouch all of a sudden finds himself in the center of an ongoing rebellion. There, he meets C.C., a witch who will soon grant him the power he'll use to alter the course of the globe and make it bow before him. It's the ability of kings in the class of "Absolute Obedience"—the Geass!

The Similarity: If y'all want strategy and tactics taken into a worldly and very serious warring situation, look no farther–Code Geass is a perfect choice. There are lots of intense battles and mindblowing clashes of wits in this one. Information technology seems like the main character of Code Geass has everything all accounted for, with moves e'er one pace further than the enemy's. And it'south that way too with the main characters of NGNL, but Geass is a notch college on reality and serious drama.

Hataraku Maou-Sama (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

Hataraku Maou-Sama (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

7. Hataraku Maou-Sama (The Devil is a Part-Timer)

The Story: What would a demon king do if he came to our world? Would he conquer information technology and lay it waste matter? Or would he not touch it and merely ignore it? Well, as for Demon King Sadao—he's gonna alive as a … part-timer?!

After the forces of Demon Rex Sadao are decimated by the Hero Emilia, he and his correct-hand man, Ashiya, are left in a weakened country and forced to flee into another world. On this new world, Earth, they are surprised by the new things glimmering before their optics. But, as weakened as they are, they accept no power to conquer it as demons. And so, they determine to live as ordinary people, with Ashiya every bit the habitation-maker and Demon King Sadao as a office-timer in a fast-nutrient joint. Things can't get whatever more undemonic and unkingly than this, but Maou Sadao has a goal, for now: to conquer the ladder of the fast-food business organisation through promotions!

The Similarity: At first glance, Hataraku Maou-Sama might not look in whatsoever way similar to No Game No Life, but I decided to add information technology to this list because it's mostly quite the inverse. By that, I hateful that while the master characters of NGNL go to another world because their minds are besides brilliant for their own world, in Hataraku Maou-Sama, the chief characters end up in the ordinary human being world despite being the strongest of all in their former earth. While the NGNL master characters run amok in another earth with their genius minds, the primary characters of Hataraku Maou-Sama endeavor to alive their humble lives in the ordinary world with minimal power usage.

I may be the only person who feels this way but ane reason that I really enjoyed NGNL was considering I knew that the MC would win. My friends think it's stupid that I like anime where the MC are completely OP merely that is what get-go drew me to Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo? and and then to No Game No Life. I was wondering if at that place is a compiled list of anime similar NGNL etc. that have completely OP characters? Any way thank you for this listing even though I must say (while slightly embarrassed) I take already watched a lot of these. I'k going to check out Code Geass I remember

-Thanks xx
